Have been thinking a lot about the stress that one faces in the working industry. Do I really want to devote all of my time to ensuring that my profession is a success? I really do not know...Maybe, just maybe I should go be a housekeeper.

Haha...maybe it is way overdue, but I seriously believe that I am lacking as a woman. As the Chinese would say "Jin De Liao Chu Fang, Chu De Liao Ting Tang", which literally means a woman who is able to handle both the kitchen and her profession. I wish to be like that, but for now, the kitchen seems to look like a battlefield to me. I wish to bake those amazing cakes, and maybe creme brule...hee, I too want to produce magnificent dishes using truffles and foie gras. But for now, I need to learn chinese cooking, wahahah

I just wanted to say that,
EVOLUTION is like a fairytale! haha.
Anyway, the reason why i said that was because, i was just watching "Walking With Monsters" from the producers of " Walking With Dinosaurs" only on Kids Central at 1230pm (at present). It's kind of exciting, the like playing the hunter and prey kind of game.
OKAY, I think I'm sidetracking. so they were showing how evolution caused some fishes to be the humans today. dots.... SO, I was like wondering to myself, actually this story and the story of dinosaurs are kind of like fairytales that are made up of some DUNNO WHAT. I guess, they could just find some bones of dinosurs and like piece them together like a puzzle then say, " THIS IS THE EXTINCT TYRANNOSAURUS" WOW! and everybody would just believe it because SCIENTISTS said it. imagine if some AH BENG were to piece some bones together and say it's a "AHBENGNOSAURUS" (named after himself) do you think anyone would even believe it?? haha. the thought of it just causes me to roll on the floor in laughter.
ok, that was not really the point, but I guess scientists are similar to writers in that they make stories up for a living. They explain how like we get our lungs, limbs and all due to some species of FISH evolving. THAT is funny. hahahaha((: All these stories are quite amusing and they make it so real that you ALMOST fall for it. (but i didn't HAH! i'm GOOD!)
So, in CONCLUSION. SCIENTISTS make up stuffs for a living. YAY! i like just completed a dunno how many word essay! haha. (:

At the foot of the cross
Where grace and suffering meet
You have shown me Your love
Through the judgement you recieved

And You've my heart
Yes You've won my heart
Now I can

Trade these ashes in for beauty
And wear forgiveness like a crown
Coming to kiss the feet of mercy
I lay every burden down
At the foot of the cross

At the foot of the cross
Where I am made complete
You have given me life
Through the death You bore for me

And You've won my heart
Yes You've won my heart
Now I can

Trade these ashes in for beauty
And wear forgiveness like a crown
Coming to kiss the feet of mercy
I lay every burden down
At the foot of the cross

Today's national day....Yeah! I am so excited over the nation's birthday. Why? Cause unlike many youngsters that I know who wants to migrate and have little sense of loyalty, I simply love Singapore. Hmmm, why do I love Singapore? Since it's her 41st birthday, I would write 41 reasons why I love her.

1: I love her for she's my home, a safe habour when I am down
2: Singapore has all my friends and family, I can't imagine life without them
3: She is so small, so travelling time frm one place to another is short, and I won't get lost
4: She's young yet has achieved things tt other countries take hundreds of yrs to achieve.
5: She's multi-racial, we are weird people as we all can co-exist with other races peacefully.
6: There is religious freedom here, so I can worship the Lord w/o being persecuted.
7: We are exposed to all sorts of culture, largely due to tourism
8: As such, we get to eat all sorts of GREAT food
9: Ditto for the many festivals that Singapore experiences
10: Because of the many festivals, we have many sch hols
11: Singapore is neither too hot or too cold
12: Since we do not have 4 seasons, buying clothes are cheaper
13: Also, here we can buy all sorts of stuff frm all over the world
14: No waves, but = no natural disasters
15: We have good and strong leaders who have foresight
16: As such, we now have one of the best ports in the world
17: Our airport is actually fun to be in
18: We actually have a pretty efficient transport system
19: There is no biasness against women
20: The laws actually favor women more then men, wahahah
21: Therefore women can actually study
22: Also, there are no wars
23: So I am quite safe
24: We are better than our neighbours, a major power in SEA
25: We do not have former leaders who fight with our current leaders, (eg: Malaysia)
26: Our leaders are also not corrupt or power hungry
27: Our PMs are actually taller than most other PMs
28: Universal Studios is considering us, instead of Malaysia
29: We are smarter than our neighbours, buying crude oil to sell as refined oil
30: Since we are so smart, scholars naturally want t o come here to study
31: We have good doctors, so some rich people frm other countries come here for their checkups
32: We are similar to Venice, a major power in the past
33: And yet we are not sinking as fast a rate as them
34: Joey says: She loves Singapore cause we are a red dot and can be seen on the map
35: For me I love Singapore cause this red dot is actually expanding
36: Although we are small, yet we can win wars cause we have technology
37: Our government is not cooped up in a shell, being worried about pollution and such
38: Our leaders are not arrogant, doing things w/o thinking, (eg: N Korea)
39: We are NOT a communist country
40: Joey says: I love Singapore because we are Independent for 41 yrs
41: I love Singapore cause she is Singapore

And here I end my rant about Singapore. I LOVE SINGAPORE, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU

what should we talk about today. Hmmm...well, I was just thinking how great it was for me to love reading. For those of you who know me, you'd probably know that reading is one of my most favorite pasttime, surpassing any others like writing and even watching tv or playing the computer.

Sadly though, the world is improving. People do not like reading, finding it to much of a chore. Instead, the choose to read summaries of books, pretending to know much information when they have none, or so I've read in an article. Personally I feel it's a tragedy, how can you only read summaries, where's the joy in reading like that?

The joy of reading comes from the process, not the end product. The reason why reading is so amazing for me is largely due to the fact that it creates an alternate universe. Reading is about feeling what the characters feel, seeing what they see, and just living the lives they lead in the book. When you realize all of that, you feel as though the whole story has come alive to you. It is no longer JUST another story, but instead, it becomes a second life that you lead. It becomes a distraction from our usually ordinary lives, adding flair and color into it. A beautiful picture painted just for the sole purpose of relieving us of our normally heavy burdens.

So why then is reading becoming a chore? Why are people more willing to waste their times on the tv, the computer, instead of exploring this amzing world of books? I really do not know. Will there ever be a day where reading ceases to exist? If so, please don't let me live to see it. For then, there would no longer be life in this pathetic time we spent on earth. Sigh, how I wish that people can just read and explore this world, give it a chance to show you its mysteries.

Okay, maybe I should introduce myself. This protagonist is 16, goes by the name Joy. Truly interested in world affairs. Hate to admit this, but she's a romantic. a tad cynical, but at the same time naive about many things. yup, so there you have it, this is me!

Might type more some other time, but right now, have to do up the template, sigh!
